Ferris' Oyster Bar and Grill

Ferris' opened its doors on the 4th of February, 1991. Its first name was Ferris' Oyster and Burger Bar Restaurant. Ferris' menu has greatly expanded and consequently, a name change seemed appropriate. Today, Ferris' Oyster Bar and Grill features a diverse array of fine foods.

John's Place

John's place is conveniently located in the center of Downtown Victoria yet hidden away a little off the beaten path. Since it's inception 17 years ago, John's place has been a favourite with locals and visitors alike. As the restaurant is decorated like a traditional 50's diner, photographs of movie stars and musicians from the 1940s, ‘50’s and 60’s adorn the wood paneled walls which rise over 20 feet to the ceiling. The original oak floors, worn to a dull patina, remain from the early 1900s when the building housed Maynard’s Photography. A large wall photo shows the restaurant during that period. Atmosphere alone is reason enough to visit John's. Lighting is subdued, ceiling fans turn slowly high overhead, and you almost expect Humphrey Bogart to step out from the shadows. The restaurant serves a family friendly selection of good easy food. Come for breakfast, lunch or dinner and leave satisfied.
